Academic Information

The Roswell Independent School District requires students to earn 28 credits for graduation. At Roswell High School, students have the opportunity to earn 8 credits a school year, 4 each semester. We offer Honors, PreAp or AP classes in every core content area and for almost every core subject. We have been working to add in dual credit opportunities for our students as well. Currently we offer English Composition I and II to replace English 11 and English 12. Juniors and Seniors are also able to take dual credit classes in addition to their required classes for graduation. 

Graduation Requirements:

4 Years of English( English 9, 10, 11 and 12)
4 Years of Math (Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and math of your choice)
3 Years of Science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics)
3.5 Year of History (NM History[1 semester], World History & Geography, US History, Economics &    Government)
2.5 Other Requirements (1 semester of Health, 1 Year of Physical Education, 1 Credit in either a foreign language or a Career Technical Education Class)
11 Elective Credits
***Students are required to take 1 credit of an Honors or AP or Dual Credit Class***
